Click Here to see the #1 rated jump program online.

I am a firm believer in the fact that you CAN learn how to jump higher no matter how tall you are or what color your skin is. It is just like developing any other muscle in your body, anyone can get a bigger bicep by doing the proper workouts. Of course it will be much easier for some people to get that bigger bicep than others and the same goes with jumping higher. Some people will see results much quicker than others and some people may even see greater increases but everyone can get some kind of increase in their jump height.

Of course you will not see results if you are training incorrectly. That is why I recommend that you follow a vertical jump program so that you will know for sure that you are doing the right jumping exercises that will end up giving you the results that you are wanting.

There is no other way to become a better athlete than to learn to increase your vertical leap. This will result in more rebounds and more points scored. If you can dunk you will have more confidence to drive to the basket and make more shots. Basketball is not a little guys game, it is getting harder and harder for short people to play basketball in high school and even the collegiate level. If you can’t jump high you can kiss your dreams of playing pro basketball goodbye. Once you train your body to jump high you will have that increased jump height for the rest of your playing days as long as you don’t slack on your training. So it’s time to buy a jump program and get to work.

There are way too many jump programs on the internet now and it’s only going to get worse. The reason there are so many is that there is no way of telling people they can’t create a program and start selling it. This means that you have a lot of internet marketers creating products or promoting bogus products because they get paid when you buy a program through their link. The problem with this is that so many sites recommend a product only because it will pay them the most. They don’t even try them out or have any idea of which one will work and which one doesn’t. There are some great programs and some really bad ones.

I never recommend a product that I haven’t tried and I have an eye for scams and I will warn you which programs to avoid. There are 2 programs that stick out to me as being fakes because they have extremely fake pictures on their sites. If a site uses a fake picture, can you trust them? The answer is NO! They will lie about other things as well. Let’s take a look at these fake pictures so you can spot these scams.

The first fake picture (pictured at the right) comes from some site called higher-faster-stronger and the bogus scam product they are promoting is the vertical jump development bible. This picture just looks fake, so I enlarged it by 400 times and analyzed it. Sure enough, it is photo shopped on top of the angle of the camera being very deceptive.

The next picture is from power vertical, I mean look at this picture and tell me you can spot that it is a scam. The guy is the exact same in each picture, don’t you find that a little strange? And his fingers are in front of the things that he is supposed to be hitting. Such a fake picture, I can’t believe that anyone would buy a product that has this picture associated with it.

So there are 2 pictures that are showing 2 obvious scams. Another huge scam is the “Luke Lowrey” scam. He is just a normal Joe Blow that is a self proclaimed vertical jump expert. That is what you will get with the internet, you get kids saying that they train pros and get hush money. This is a ridiculous claim and there is no proof behind it, don’t believe that hype. If someone has to say that they are the trainer for so and so, it means that they really aren’t or they wouldn’t have to toot their own horn.

I have tried a few programs, and unlike everyone that creates them, I actually have a degree in Exercise Science. I haven’t seen anyone that actually has a degree in a related field that has created a jump program. If you want to learn how to jump higher, their are tons of programs, but I would never recommend about 99% of them. There are a couple programs that are great and a few that are okay. But you don’t want to pay for an okay program. I do have a favorite that I used and it is the only one so far that I would recommend.

Training your body to learn how to jump higher so that you can dunk a basketball or spike a volleyball is one of the main goals of millions of people across the world. Sadly, most of them will not accomplish their goal or get anywhere close to it because they will not get a vertical jump program that teaches them how to jump higher fast.

If you are not doing plyometric exercises or strength training workouts for your legs, you will never increase vertical leap any more than how high you are jumping now. You can’t just go play basketball or volleyball everyday and expect to improve your vertical leap. Vertical jump training requires you to do vertical jump exercises that will develop your fast twitch muscle fibers.

Jumping workouts like those found in jump higher programs will give you an advantage over your competition. Stop wishing that you could dunk and learn how to dunk a basketball by doing the proper basketball workouts to make your dreams a reality. Click Here to make it happen.

Remember to keep your workouts balanced. You don’t see bodybuilders jumping really high and that is because they have enough muscle but the muscle is slow. You have to have the speed along with the muscle mass. This means that you will be training each faucet of jump training an equal amount of time. All of the biomechanics are a little much for most people and that is why they prefer to leave it up to the jump experts. If you get a vertical training program you won’t have to worry about all of the little details because they have already thought of everything and you will just have to follow a program that is proven to work.

When trying to learn exercises to better your jumping ability it can be confusing as to which ones are the best and which workouts you should avoid.

Click Here to see a video my friend Jacob has on his site – The Jump Manual.

Jacob makes some very good points and you should take his advice on jumping. If you haven’t watched his video yet click the link above check out all of the tips he gives on jump training.

I’m not going to repeat all of the explanation of plyometric exercises that Jacob talked about in his video because that would be redundant, so lets look at some jumping exercises that will teach you how to jump higher.

First off, you will train a little bit differently depending on your sport. Basketball training and volleyball training to increase vertical jump are slightly different believe or not.

The jump manual exercises will work for both but you can pick and chose which ones might be better for your sport.

Lets look at how plyometrics for basketball differ from plyometrics for volleyball. Plyometrics for jumping are slightly different than a typical basketball workout routine because you will be focusing on your vertical speed instead of lateral agility. In basketball you jump off of 1 foot sometimes and sometimes you jump off of 2 feet. When focusing on exercises to jump higher for volleyball you will never jump off of 1 foot because you don’t need to.

Here is a random list of jumping exercises that you can pick from to do a plyometric workout.
Cleans
Hang Cleans
Squats
Jump Squats
Calf Raises
Kettlebell swings
Wall Balls (use a medicine ball to throw high on a wall from squatting position)
Low Back Extensions
Hamstring Curls
Rear deltoid flexibility exercises
Box jumps
Rim touches
Bounding
Box jumps from seated position
Click Here to see the Jump Manual workout plan

There comes a time in every athletes life when they realize that if they are ever going to get any better at their sport they must learn to increase their vertical jump with plyometric training. To increase vertical jump you have to take training very seriously.

Click Here for a detailed workout program that teaches you how to jump higher.

Do you know what exercises you need to do to jump higher in the shortest amount of time possible? Why take more time than necessary to train your body to jump high? It’s not like bodybuilding, where you lift weights for years and build a perfect looking body.

Fast twitch muscles can be built quicker and you can start to increase your vertical leap in as little as 1 week! Now I’m not saying that you will have huge gains in only 1 week but you can have some gains in the first week, in fact I would be surprised if you didn’t have any gains in your first week if you follow this program – Click Here to see the program.

Let me share a little bit about what you will see in a good vertical jump training program. You will be doing a combination of strength building workouts with jumping exercises which are also known as plyometrics.

Click Here to watch a video on how jump training works. This video will explain a lot of things pertaining to jump training that will allow you to understand the importance of following a well designed workout so that you can get results in the fastest time possible.

No matter if you play volleyball, basketball or any other sport that can benefit from jumping higher you need to check out what my friend Jacob has to say about jumping higher. Check out the jump program now.

Have you ever wanted to know how to jump higher for volleyball? Well by following some simple volleyball workouts you can increase your vertical jump more than you ever thought possible.

Volleyball training is very important because you never actually have control of the ball like you do in basketball. You have to have perfect form in every movement and jumping is no different. You jumping form alone can increase your vertical leap by up to 15%.

Vertical jump training for volleyball is one of the most important aspects of the game but most high school coaches don’t understand that. They are more focused on funny volleyball cheers than on conditioning their athletes to jump higher.

If you take the time to do some plyometric training for volleyball you will notice a marked improvement in your vertical jump height in the first few weeks of training. Volleyball workouts to jump higher should focus on jumping off of both feet because that is how you block and hit. Rarely would you ever jump off of one foot so you should not be training by jumping from only 1 foot in practice.

Do not think that I am saying you don’t need ball handling skills because you do. You have plenty of time to train all areas that need practice from serving, passing, setting, blocking, hitting and jumping higher. I have seen too many players than never reach their potential simply because they do not understand that they need to do plyometric training coupled with strength training in order to jump higher.

Before you start going to the gym to do exercises that you think will make you jump like Kobe Bryant you should understand a little about the human body and physics, which is known as biomechanics or kinesiology.

When you jump you are trying to produce as much force against the ground in the shortest amount of time possible. This is called power and power is product of strength and speed. So if you want to jump higher you simply need to increase the strength and the speed of your legs.

Most people are lacking in one of the 2 areas and some are lacking in both. It would be a good idea to understand which person you are. If you have really strong legs, and by really strong I mean that you have no problem squatting 2 times your body weight, then you need to focus more on speed training.

If you are quick and lack strength it would be wise for you to hit the weights a little more than the average person that is training to jump higher.

Now if you are like most people you lack a little of both and that is fine. First you want to train your strength because lacking leg strength can cause injury when you start doing plyometric exercises. Plyometrics involve a lot of high intensity exercises that require a lot of leg strength.

Vertical jump exercises are the key to any volleyball jump training program. If you want to be better at your sport, whether it be volleyball, basketball or any other sport that puts emphasis on jumping, you need to take time to train your muscles to increase your vertical leap.

Not everyone is born a natural jumper but that doesn’t mean you can’t learn to increase your vertical through doing some exercises for jump training. The best way to train you legs is by doing plyometric exercises.

You want to avoid the type of air alert exercises that focus more on jumping endurance instead of increasing jump height. I bugs me that a company charges people money for their vertical training program that doesn’t work. Don’t get me wrong, there are vertical jump training exercises that do work and provide great results and I will show you what to look for.

The most effective exercises for jump training are not always the workouts that feel like they are working the best. This means that some plyometric workouts may feel that they are going to produce great results but they might not do much of anything.

Some of the best exercises for volleyball, basketball or any other sport might not even feel like they are doing much while you are performing them. But you will notice an increase in your vertical leap after training for as little as 1 week.

Proper vertical training should not exceed 12 reps for a workout and should never require you to do plyometric vertical jump training on the same day that you weight train with your legs. If you want to learn how to jump higher plyometric exercises are the key you need.

Playing any sport that favors jumping such as basketball or volleyball can be hard to excel at unless you are really tall or have a good vertical jump. Learning how to jump higher with plyometric exercises is the key to dominating your competition.

I had tried for years to jump higher with minimal success and I was getting very frustrated. Until I came across a jump higher workout that actually got me doing the correct jumping exercises to give me the results I wanted.

It turns out that I wasn’t understanding the biomechanics of jumping and plyometric training. A plyometric workout needs to focus on the fast twitch fibers in the legs and the exercises need to be done correctly.

I was trying to work more on leg strength and I was ignoring the speed part of the equation. Jumping is a result of power and power is the sum of speed and strength. So only having one or the other will not result in an increase of vertical jump height.

Everyone lacks either one or the other. Either you have strong legs that lack speed or fast legs that lack strength. It’s important you know which is holding you back and focus on that area. There are many that lack both and a jump program will work perfectly for you to strengthen both. No matter what area you are lacking development, you can improve it and jump higher.

Check out the Jump Program I used that got me an inch on my vertical the 1st week! (which is a huge achievement in my eyes). Click Here to see the workout.

I started playing beach volleyball 4 years ago and realized that I would have to learn how to jump higher if I ever wanted to be able to spike a volleyball. Whether you want to learn how to jump higher in basketball so you can slam dunk or in volleyball to be able to spike, the principals are the same. I struggled for years trying all kinds of workouts to increase my vertical leap. I would go to the gym and squat massive amounts of weight to realize that after tons of work my vertical would only be 1 inch higher after a couple of months. I thought that maybe it was just normal to only get 1 inch for a few months of work but my knees were starting to feel it from the really heavy squats week after week. After a year of this my vertical jump was a few inches higher but no where near where I wanted it to be.

So I started searching the internet for jumping programs and came across the Jump Manual by Jacob Hiller. On his page there was a big title that promised 10 inches to your vertical. I thought that there was no way that could be true and was very skeptical because of my own experiences. After reading all of the testimonials on his page of people getting results very quickly I decided to buy his jumping program. I was so excited that I started it the next day and boy was it different than what I had been doing. Apparently I was going about it all wrong. I mean I was doing a few good things but I was also doing a lot of things that seemed like they would work because they got me sore but in reality they weren’t really helping my vertical jump improve at all. You can imagine my surprise of adding 1 inch to my vertical leap during the first week. I was so stocked and mad at the same time. Why did I waste a whole year and many hours in the gym doing a workout that wasn’t efficient? You live and learn I guess. The training for jumping higher is a lot different than the normal workout I would do in the gym and had very good plyometric exercises that I would have never known about.

Training with plyometric exercises is a great way to learn how to jump higher in basketball, volleyball or any other sport that requires any fast movements. There are many programs on the interent that make pretty bold promises in how many inches they can add on you vertical jump. I would recommend reading a review of vertical jump programs to see which ones stack up and which ones don’t. Learning how to jump higher in volleyball is slightly different than learning some of the form and techniques to jump higher for basketball.

Plyometric Drills

Let’s take some common plyometric workouts that consists mostly of jumping exercises to see how we could throw them into the usual basketball or volleyball exercises. Plyometrics are not like the normal way of training where you want to do your second set while you are still tired from the first one. You want to allow yourself more time to recover before doing your next set of plyos. The jump manual exercises are designed in a way that you have enough rest but not too much.

Plyometric Training

The concept of a plyometrics workout is that when you stretch a muscle before contracting it, the muscle will react with more power. Power is a combination of speed and strength. The speed of the muscles is faster when it is stretched right before contraction. It’s much like a rubber band in many ways. So plyometric training is designed to make all of the muscles react at the exact same time when you bend your knees at the start of a jump. So to increase vertical jump you need to train the muscles to react better right before take-off. This is where the jump manual workouts come into play.

So you can see that plyometric training for volleyball to learn how to spike would be almost the same as jumping exercises for basketball to learn how to dunk. The science is the same with vertical leap no matter how you look at it.

Jump Rope Exercises

Would jump rope exercises be beneficial? I would not recommend doing a jump rope exercise routine. You want to drills that will teach you how to jump higher not for a longer period of time. Doing the jump rope workout will only train your muscles to become endurance muscles but they won’t give you much more height on your vertical leap. So if you want to learn how to dunk or how to spike the answer is in learning how to increase vertical jump with vertical training. Increasing vertical doesn’t take as long as you may think. To increase jumping you simply need to follow a well designed program such as the jump manual and you will start seeing results in the first week of training. So if you want your vertical jump higher then swing by and check out the program by clicking here.

Volleyball jump training requires a lot of work on every part of the game. The vertical jump aspect is best improved with plyometric exercises. If you want to learn how to jump higher in volleyball you need to learn from the best, and they would be beach volleyball players. A plyometric training program will consist of many different workouts that will increase the speed and strength of the legs.

Jump Higher Program

You have to have sufficient leg strength first. What is strong enough? You need to be squatting at least 1.5 times your body weight. Your muscles and tendons have to be strong enough to withstand the high intensity of plyometrics.

Plyometric boxes are a great thing to have if you are serious about jumping higher. A Plyometrics mat is not something that you need in order to produce great results.

Exercises to Jump Higher

Squats- You will learn to love squats if you don’t already. Make sure you never lift for strength right before doing plyometrics, you need to do them on seperate days.

Lunges- Not in old lunges, these are jumping lunges. You will jump in the air as high as possible in between each rep and land with the opposite leg in front.

Crunches- Yes your stomach needs to be strong in order for you to keep good form while jumping.

Plyometric Drills

Plyometrics drills a.k.a. volleyball drills are to be done with the least amount of time on the ground as possible. This means that when you step off of the box you need to jump up on the other one as fast as you can. Training like this will increase your vertical by shortening the reaction time of your muscles and causing them to react with more power. High powered plyometrics are key to increase vertical.

Check out the Jump Manual by clicking here. The jump manual exercises will help you gain inches in your vert quickly.

What sport requires more jumping than any other sport? Volleyball, and more specifically beach volleyball. It’s no wonder that the best jumpers are beach volleyball players. If you have ever jumped out of deep sand you will realize that it takes a lot of effort to even get a foot out of it. So when you see sand volleyball players getting there armpits above an 8 foot high net you come to see how good of jumpers they are.

How can you learn to jump like the best jumpers in the world? By being disciplined and doing plyometric workouts like they do. Plyos are exercises designed to teach your body how to jump higher. This is done through combining jump training with strength training. Either program alone will not produce the same results as a combination of the two. You must teach your muscles both strength and speed to produce power. The equation is very simple, you can’t leave out one part or it will not work.

Why should you follow a beach volleyball workout program? Think about how much they jump compared to any other sport. For every single point that is scored 3 out of the 4 people will most likely jump and in some cases all 4 players will jump. This ends up being a lot jumping for each individual player. Taking into consideration that they are getting as high as basketball players even when jumping out of sand means that their vertical leap is substantially greater than that of any other athlete.

Learning how to jump higher involves doing exercises to increase vertical leap. But the legs are not the only things that will help you jump higher. To increase vertical jump you need to use every muscle possible to get the gains.

The way it goes right now you probably go play your sport everyday and each day you get a little better at some aspect but you aren’t really seeing any improvement in your jumping. When you bend at your knees to jump you are involving more muscles than you might think. So in order to jump higher you need to train all the muscles involved in jumping individually. You might have really strong calves but they won’t do you much good if your quads are week. You are only as strong as your weakest muscle.

So how do you jump higher? By training individual muscles so as to not have a muscle that could be impeding your performance.

What muscles are involved in jumping?

Quads

Calves

Hamstrings

Lower Back

Shoulders

Stomach

Just having strong legs will not cut it. You need to train the other muscles involved. All you movement have to go through your core which is your back and abs. Having a weak back will prevent jump height. You might be wonders where shoulders come into play. When you swing your arms forward the muscle that is doing all of the work is the front deltoid. Doing dumbbell raises with weights in front of you will strengthen your front deltoids and produce a more powerful arm swing.

Don’t think that it takes years to jump high because it doesn’t you just have to know what you’re doing.

Exercises to jump higher are very important when it comes to performing at the peak of your game in whatever sport it is that you play. Basketball and volleyball are the 2 sports where plyometric workouts have a great influence on the number of wins you will have. Beach volleyball implements plyometric exercises more than any other sport.

How do you jump higher?

To jump higher exercises that involve plyometrics are required. Vertical jump training programs are a dime a dozen and I am going to tell you what to look for in a program.

You need to focus on maximum vertical leap during each exercise. You don’t want to do tons of reps because that is simply training your endurance muscles. When you train this way you end up producing more slow twitch muscle fibers that have a negative affect in the long run.

Once you understand how to jump higher plyometric exercises will become naturally for you.

Beach volleyball players are the ideal athletes when it comes to jumping. They are jumping in sand which is way more difficult than any other surface. Vertical jump training is not complete without combining it with the traditional strength building workouts in the gym with weights. I am not saying you should wear ankle weights because that is a bad idea and can cause serious injury.
